You’ve been faithful, but it feels like nothing is changing. You wonder if God even sees you anymore. Joseph’s lowest season, falsely accused and forgotten, became the place where God shaped his character most deeply. Sometimes the shadows are where God does His most important work. He hasn’t abandoned you; He’s preparing you.

You thought you knew where life was headed…and then it all fell apart. The heartbreak is real, the questions are raw: Why, God? Where are You? Joseph’s dream was torn away by betrayal and loss, yet God never abandoned him. What feels like an ending may actually be God planting the seeds for a greater beginning.

Somewhere between the deadlines, the disappointments, and the “maybe next year” promises, your dreams got smaller. Maybe you’ve stopped dreaming altogether because it feels safer not to hope. But God still has a bigger, bolder vision for your life — one worth believing in again. Like Joseph, He wants to plant something in you that seems impossible, but will change everything. What does it actually look like to love one another the way Jesus loved us? It sounds beautiful in theory, but what about in the grind of real life, with our coworkers, neighbors, roommates, the people sitting beside us at church? The New Testament repeats this call to “one another” nearly sixty times. But who exactly are we called to one another? What does it truly mean? We scroll more, run faster, but feel lonelier than ever. Theologian Kosuke Koyama once wrote that God moves at three miles per hour… the speed of walking. The speed of love. Slow enough to notice. Gentle enough to be present. What if the greatest threat to your soul isn’t sin, but speed? What if love can’t be rushed? This week, we’ll explore how Jesus invites us to live at the speed of God. The pace, the posture, and the presence where sacrificial love takes root. And why small groups are the place where that love actually becomes real.

Brook and Elizabeth Mosser have been serving in ministry together for nearly two decades. Brook has been a pastor for over 18 years and currently serves as the President of Intentional—a nonprofit focused on bringing spiritual formation into the center of family life. Elizabeth serves as Vice President, helping lead the vision, content, and heart of the ministry alongside Brook. Together, they host The Intentional Parents Podcast, where they speak honestly about the joys and challenges of raising kids to follow Jesus. This Sunday, join us to celebrate all of our kids and youth who are finishing school and moving up a grade! When the church welcomes and celebrates kids, it lets them know that they are welcomed and celebrated in the kingdom of God. As we celebrate, we will hear a message from our Family Pastor, Ashley Pansoy on what we can learn about our faith from children and how learning from them can be an avenue for connection with God. Hint: kids are playful and full of wonder and curiosity! It will be a Sunday full of joy and celebration as we head into the summer season.
